Spotkanie inaugurujące działanie Special Interest Group of EASSW "Holocaust Heritage for Contemporary Clinical Social Work”.

W minioną środę odbyło się seminarium naukowe zatytułowane Edukacja w przestrzeniach trudnego dziedzictwa, połączone ze spotkaniem inaugurującym działanie Special Interest Group of European Association of Schools of Social Work (in the application process) Holocaust Heritage for Contemporary Clinical Social Work.

To inicjatywa łącząca przedstawicieli i przedstawicielki kilku ośrodków akademickich z Polski i zagranicy, których zainteresowania naukowe i badawcze koncentrują się wokół problematyki przestrzeni trudnego dziedzictwa i znaczenia uniwersalnych aspektów Zagłady dla teorii i praktyki klinicznej pracy socjalnej oraz edukacji uwikłanej w pamięć.

W seminarium udział wzięli:

  • dr hab. Hubert Kaszyński, prof. UJ, mgr Julia Pawlikowska i mgr Olga Maciejewska (Instytut Terapii i Edukacji Społecznej - Stowarzyszenie, Instytut Socjologii UJ)
  • dr Borys Cymbrowski i dr hab. Magdalena Ślusarczyk, prof. UJ (Instytut Socjologii UJ)
  • dr hab. Małgorzata Ciczkowska-Giedziun, prof. UWM i mgr Magdalena Dymowska (Uniwersytet Warmińsko-Mazurski)
  • dr Martina Cerná i Olga Klepáčková (College of Polytechnics, Jihlava)
  • dr Małgorzata Bozacka i dr hab. Krzysztof Malicki, prof. UR (Uniwersytet Rzeszowski)
  • Małgorzata Sołtys (studentka pracy socjalnej w IS UJ)

War, harm and trauma – personal perspective oraz Katrina Hjortgren z Örebro University w Szwecji, reprezentująca Zarząd European Association of Schools of Social Work.

  • Olgę Klepáčkovą: Social Work´s Mission from the Holocaust to Today´s Crises: For the Sake of Others, We Will Keep Pursuing the Change for Better
  • Huberta Kaszyńskiego: Musimy w końcu zrozumieć, że edukacja uwikłana jest w pamięć!

Zachęcamy do śledzenia kolejnych doniesień z działań podejmowanych przez SIG Holocaust Heritage for Contemporary Clinical Social Work!

Inaugural meeting of Special Interest Group of EASSW "Holocaust Heritage for Contemporary Clinical Social Work"

Last Wednesday, a scientific seminar entitled Education in difficult heritage spaces was held, combined with the inaugural meeting of the Special Interest Group of the European Association of Schools of Social Work (in the application process) Holocaust Heritage for Contemporary Clinical Social Work.

It is an initiative uniting representatives of several universities from Poland and abroad, whose scientific and research interests focus on the issues of difficult heritage and the importance of universal aspects of the Holocaust for the theory and practice of clinical social work and education entangled in memory.

The seminar was attended by:

  • Hubert Kaszyński, Julia Pawlikowska and Olga Maciejewska (Institute of Social Therapy and Education - Association, Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University)
  • Borys Cymbrowski and Magdalena Ślusarczyk (Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University)
  • Małgorzata Ciczkowska-Giedziun and Magdalena Dymowska (University of Warmia and Mazury)
  • Martina Cerná and Olga Klepáčková (College of Polytechnics, Jihlava)
  • Małgorzata Bozacka and Krzysztof Malicki (University of Rzeszow)
  • Małgorzata Sołtys (student of social work at the Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University)

The special guests of the seminar were Professor Pnina Ron from the University of Haifa, which gave an extremely moving and inspiring speech entitled War, harm and trauma - personal perspective and Katrina Hjortgren from Örebro University in Sweden, representing the Executive Committee of the European Association of Schools of Social Work.

The seminar was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and reflect on education in the difficult heritage spaces and the importance of clinical social work in working with trauma - and, what is particularly important, to strengthen cooperation between researchers and institutions that create the EASSW Special Interest Group.

Let the seminar sum up the reflections formulated by

  • Olga Klepáčková: Social Work´s Mission from the Holocaust to Today´s Crises: For the Sake of Others, We Will Keep Pursuing the Change for Better
  • Hubert Kaszyński: We must finally understand that education is implicated in memory!

We encourage you to follow the reports from the activities undertaken by SIG Holocaust Heritage for Contemporary Clinical Social Work!
