dr hab. Katarzyna Jasikowska – her research interests and teaching are focused on globalisation and global education at university level, collaboration with NGOs in the region and with local government. In 2011 a participant in the inter-sector process resulting in an agreement being signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of National Education and Grupa Zagranica civil society organisation platform concerning global education in Poland. In 2014 she led the consortium preparing a diagnostic analysis on global education in the region for the Małopolska Region Marshal's Office as well as the consortium developing a methodological guide for teachers of global education commissioned by the Centre for Education Development. Has published in journals including Studia Socjologiczne, Studia Socjologiczno-Polityczne and Kultura-Historia-Globalizacja.

Ongoing research

Leader of a consortium working on a handbook; „Global education. Methodological handbook for teachers of the second, third and fourth level of education" for the Teacher Training Center in Warsaw as a part of the project "From global education to responsibility for the world" co-financed by the project No 316/2014 of the Polish foreign aid programmee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Co-author, editor and a manager of the works within the fotographers` team. Member of the Regional Commission of the project: "Regions for the education on sustainable development and international solidarity" (REDDSO) according to decision No 329/14 of the Board of the Malopolska Voivodeship, issued on 25th of March, 2014. International Partners for that project: Region Rhone-Alpes in France, Piemont in Italy and Catalan region in Spain.

Finished projects

Consultant for the educational documentary entitled: „Global education – how to understand the world better" prepared for the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning of the Marshal Office of Malopolska Voivodeship. The project was co-financed by the European Commission – the General Board on Development and Cooperation EuropeAid in accordance with the document No DCI NSA ED/2012/287-834.

Leader of the consortium working on: "Diagnostic analysis of needs, meaning and evolution of policies on education for sustainable development and international solidarity (global education)" in Malopolska for the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning of the Marshal Office of Malopolska Voivodeship.

Individual project: "Global education as a planned social change" (grant of the Institute of Sociology, Jagiellonian University).
