dr hab. Katarzyna Jasikowska, prof. UJ

position: associate professor

e-mail: k.gilarek@uj.edu.pl

People working in Academia have a particular responsibility in face of the challenges of the climate and environmental crisis. It is not enough to say that the "ship is sinking" and to develop more precise ways of describing and measuring the very "sinking". The central problems of global education, which I have been involved in for years, are raising awareness, spreading knowledge and taking participatory adaptation measures to the Anthropocene era - an epoch dominated by an overwheming destructive activities leading to, among other things, contemporary climate change.

Professor Katarzyna Jasikowska - my research interests and didactics focus on the Anthropocene, with a particular focus on local-global aspects of adaptation and resilience to contemporary climate change.
