Dr Konrad Stępnik

Konrad Stępnik - sociologist. Currently working in FOOdIVERSE project (principal investigator: Ewa Kopczyńska) that aims to study food systems and to find innovative ways of increasing their sustainability and diversity. In 2019 he completed his Phd thesis entitled Fertility decisions of the young Poles in changing cultural context.

Dr Stępnik gained experience in the numerous applied research, starting from the position of field researcher and eventually working as a principal investigator. Beside fertility decisions he is especially interested in rural sociology and social farming. He was working in The Agricultural Advisory Centre for 5 years (2016 - 2021) where for 2 years he was holding a position of the head of The Department of Rural Areas Development. He also worked as a researcher in The Regional Centre for Social Policy in Cracow (2014) and cooperated with many Local Actions Groups and other NGOs in numerous social and research projects (since 2011).

He is a founder and a member of the board of Socjometr Foundation.
