Maciej Koniewski - graduated from the Jagiellonian University, majoring in Sociology and Philosophy. PhD in Social Sciences earned at Jagiellonian University in 2018. Specialized in research methodology and quantitative data analysis. He is the author and co-author of articles and chapters on educational research, educational measurement and evaluation.

Managed national and international projects for NGOs, governmental agencies, public administration and private sector. He was working for, e.g. World Bank, Polish Agency of Enterprise Development, National Centre for Research and Development, John Deere and Deutsche Telekom. He has managed PRELUDIUM grant from the National Science Center (No. 2014/13/N/HS6/02974) and was involved in NCN OPUS grant "Auschwitz in the social memory of Poles…" (nr 2018/29/B/HS6/02133).

As a consultant of the Center for Evaluation and Analysis of Public Policies of the Jagiellonian University he has worked for government of Saudi Arabia on building education evaluation system, for governmental institutions in Poland on evaluation of Polish education system, and on counterfactual impact evaluation of various European Union operational programs (with collaboration of Statistics Poland).

In 2013–2015 worked with an Educational Value Added team at the Educational Research Institute, the research unit of the Ministry of National Education. The team was responsible for development and implementation of the school effectiveness indicators.
