Instytut Socjologii UJ po raz drugi w historii jest miejscem obrad Komitetu Wykonawczego Międzynarodowego Stowarzyszenia Socjologicznego (ISA). Ich zwieńczeniem będzie sympozjum „Global Sociology – Local Perspectives", które odbędzie się w dniach 19-20 marca w Collegium Maius (Sala Bobrzyńskiego). Oprócz innych znamienitych gości wezmą w nim udział także przedstawiciele i przedstawicielki naszego Instytutu, m.in.: prof. Maria Flis, prof. Krzysztof Frysztacki, prof. Jarosłąw Górniak, prof. Grażyna Skąpska, dr hab. prof. UJ Wiesław Gumuła, dr hab. Marcin Lubaś, dr Kaja Gadowska.

Obrady Komitetu w Polsce są rezultatem bliskiej współpracy między Polskim Towarzystwem Socjologicznym a ISA.
