The Institute of Sociology is the third Jagiellonian University unit in terms of the number of agreements with the foreign higher education institutions. Our students have an opportunity to study at 54 different institutions in 19 countries. Each year, the Institute is visited by several dozen Erasmus students from the whole Europe. Within the framework of the programme we collaborate with the institutions from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Macedonia, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

The foreign students are offered a wide variety of courses in English carried out by experts in a given field, for instance: Intercultural Communication, Contemporary Development Studies, Gender and Law, Polish Society Through Documentary Film and Ethnography, Social Capital and Trust, Is God dead? Religion and spirituality in contemporary society.
