The Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Erasmus/international students during their studies at the Institute of Sociology (their enrollment in the courses), and for signing their Learning Agreements.

All other documents and procedures (e.g. Letter of Acceptance, Transcript of Records, Confirmation of Stay) are the responsibility of the International Students Office (incoming.erasmus@uj.edu.pl).

The JU Institute of Sociology offers several courses in English, both for foreign and Polish students:

Students affiliated with the Institute of Sociology register for courses by themselves via the USOSweb system.


Registration for courses in the summer semester 2023/24:

We kindly inform you that the registration for courses in the USOSweb system starts on February 16th at 10:00 am and ends on February 22nd at noon. Please bear in mind that only students affiliated with the Institute of Sociology may register for our courses by themselves, via the system (see the regulations above).

BA students may enroll for the courses offered at MA level only upon the instructor's permission.
MA students may enroll for the courses offered at BA level only upon the instructor's permission.


To register for academic courses at other Institutes and/or Departments of the Jagiellonian University, please contact a relevant Erasmus+ Coordinator.


Academic schedule for 2023/2024 is available on the website of JU.

If you are not affiliated with the Institute of Sociology and you would like to register for the courses offered in English at our Institute, you have to get the instructor's permission for each of the courses you would like to take.

Please contact a relevant instructor by e-mail or in person by 22nd of February! You can find instructors' e-mail addresses on the website: https://socjologia.uj.edu.pl/en_GB/instytut/pracownicy-i-pracowniczki).

Please provide the instructor with the following information:

  • the name of the course/courses you would like to be signed up for
  • your student ID number

Students affiliated with other Institutes within the Jagiellonian University may be put on a reserve list and signed up for the courses based on the instructors' permission and availability of places. The final decision about the addmitance to a course will be provided by 27th of February.

BA students may enroll for the courses offered at MA level only upon the instructor's permission.
MA students may enroll for the courses offered at BA level only upon the instructor's permission.

NEW COURSE AT IS UJ: Responsible technologies as a challenge - sociotechnical imaginaries in Poland and Taiwan

Dear Erasmus students!

We cordially invite you to participate in the optional course entitled Responsible technologies as a challenge - sociotechnical imaginaries in Poland and Taiwan!

The course is coordinated by Professor Aleksandra Wagner and Tadeusz Rudek, MA.
 

Classes in the on-line formula will take place on two dates:

  • October 17., 10:00 - 12:00 (Polish time)
  • November 14. ,10:00 -12:00 (Polish time)


As part of the lectures, students will join the classes that will be conducted in Taiwan, hence the classes are offered on-line on days when, as a rule, classes are conducted in a full-time mode.
