The scholarship is awarded under foreign bilateral agreements between the Jagiellonian University and other prestigious universities in Europe and beyond. Depending on the contract, a PhD student may go on a several-week or one-semester scholarship to China, the United States of America and within Europe to Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, the Netherlands, Macedonia, Germany, Switzerland, Ukraine, Hungary, Italy.

The Jagiellonian Interdisciplinary PhD Programme is an elite form of support for advanced PhD students who want to expand their research workshop, increase their scientific and professional potential and learn about research practices in other areas and disciplines of science.
Jagiellonian Interdisciplinary PhD Program includes 4 forms of support:
- Participation in methodological courses in English
- Scholarship for the duration of the Program
- Co-financing for an internship abroad
- Co-financing for a trip to a foreign scientific conference
The main objectives of the Program are:
- Increasing the interest of PhD students in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research
- Building an environment for cross-domain and cross-domain cooperation through joint participation of PhD students in workshops, seminars and other project-based educational forms
- Acquainting the PhD student with the methods, techniques and results of research from outside their own research area (related to the doctoral project being carried out)
- To acquaint the PhD student with advanced tools for managing scientific work, data processing, as well as forms of presenting scientific content
- Increasing the scientific potential of the PhD student by enabling him to work in research in an international context
- Increasing the scientific potential of the PhD student by familiarizing him with acquiring funds for research and then using these funds effectively
- Increasing the professional potential of a PhD student by familiarizing him with the formulas of planning and implementing a professional career on the academic market
- Increasing the professional potential of a PhD student by enabling him to build scientific relationships in an international context
- Increasing international mobility
