Student Mobility Program MOST

What is MOST Program?

MOST is a mobility program for students and PhD students. Since 1999, it has been enjoying unflagging interest, making it possible to study for a semester or the entire academic year at one of over twenty Polish partner universities.

Participation in the Program is free and independent of the study mode. The following persons can apply for a place from the MOST offer:

  • students after completing the second semester of a five-year MA degree programm
  • students after completing the second semester of studies of bachelor's degree programm
  • students after completing the first semester of master's degree programm
  • PhD students after completing the first year of doctoral programm

Recruitment for MOST takes place twice a year:

  • from April 15 to May 15 (recruitment for the winter semester and the entire academic year)
  • from October 31 to November 30 (recruitment for the summer semester)

During these periods, there is an active link on the Program website, which allows you to familiarize yourself with the current MOST offer and set up an account in the IRK MOST system, through which you register and obtain the status of an applicant for participation in the Program.

The application for admission to the MOST program should be approved by the student's supervisor/tutor or the Director of the Institute of Sociology, indicating that there are no contraindications for departure in a given semester/academic year.

Only after obtaining the opinion of one of the above-mentioned persons, the application may be presented to the Dean of the Faculty.

Institute of Sociology in the MOST program

The Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University has been participating in the MOST program since its inception. MOST is an excellent opportunity to develop your scientific interests and carry out research, as well as a chance to gain new experiences outside your home university. The basis for participation in the program is the individual organization of studies.

Every year, 10 to 15 students of the Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University participate in the program. The most frequently chosen host university is the University of Warsaw.

The Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University is very popular among coming students. Every year, as part of the MOST IS program, the Jagiellonian University admits approx. 15 students.
